What we keep, and how to get rid of it.

Effective 6 November 2026. Plain language, short on purpose.

Who this is

This site is run by Plexus Pad, an independent project based in the United States. For anything in this notice, write to zachwiener@gmail.com. That is also the address for access, correction, deletion and objection requests.

What we collect, why, and on what basis

• When you join the waitlist or send a partner inquiry: your name, email address, and whatever you choose to add (organization, how many computers you use, your role or track, a message), plus the time you sent it. Giving these details is voluntary; without a name and email we can't add you or reply. We use them to tell you about the project (sign-ups: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time) and to answer a partner inquiry (because you asked us to). Please don't put sensitive personal information in the message box.
• To limit abuse of the forms: a short-lived counter keyed to a pseudonymised form of your network address (a keyed hash, not your address). It lives for a few hours (at most about 3 after your last submission) and is not stored with your sign-up. Basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the forms usable and secure; you can object (see below).
• Our host, Cloudflare, processes ordinary web-request data such as your IP address to deliver pages and defend against attacks (the same legitimate interest). We don't use that data ourselves, beyond the abuse counter above.
• If you are a partner and sign in to the spec portal: one strictly necessary cookie (__Host-plexus_specs) that keeps you signed in for up to 7 days. It holds no personal data.

There are no advertising or analytics trackers on this site, no tracking cookies, and no third-party fonts or scripts: everything loads from this site. We don't respond to "Do Not Track" signals because there is nothing here that tracks you. No payment is taken on this site.

Who else handles it

The site and its sign-up storage run on Cloudflare, a US company. It processes the data for us, and data stored there can be held in the United States and other countries where Cloudflare operates. When we reply to you, or handle a request, the messages pass through Google (Gmail), our email provider, under Google's own privacy terms. We don't sell your details or share them with anyone else.

How long we keep it

Sign-up and inquiry records are deleted automatically 12 months after you sent them, or sooner on request. Email correspondence with you is deleted 12 months after our last message, or sooner on request. Copies we make (for example an export of the sign-up list) are deleted within the same 12 months.

Email

Before we send any update or newsletter we'll ask you to confirm your address, and every such message will say how to be removed. If you send a partner inquiry or a message, we'll reply to it directly. If someone signed you up without your say-so, tell us and we'll delete the entry.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, ask us to restrict or stop using it, object to the uses based on our legitimate interest, ask for a copy in a portable form, and withdraw your consent, by writing to the address above. We'll answer within 30 days; we may ask you to confirm you control the email address first. If you're in the EU or UK you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority; in California, to the California Privacy Protection Agency or the Attorney General. We won't treat you differently for using any of these rights.

Children

This site is not aimed at children under 16 and we don't knowingly collect their details.

Changes

If we change this notice we'll update the date at the top, and we'll tell people who signed up before applying any material change to what we use their details for. Plexus Pad is a pre-launch project, so expect it to grow if we ever offer anything to buy.
